Back to School Safety Blog .jpg

Schools are back. Some are virtual, some in person, and some are a combination of the two. The goal is to have students back on campus at some point, so making the campus safe for their return should be a priority. Read on to learn of some of the safety tips and tools for making your facility student ready. We’ve seen the CDC guidelines for disinfecting and cleaning high-touch surfaces and and stop the spread of germs, so we will leave that to the experts. We will focus on some safety measures you can put in place to protect your students and staff.

Vape Detection (1).jpg

Motley Crue said it best, now we are just adapting to the times. "Smokin ain't allowed in school", and neither is vaping. Our all-in-one detector is capable of detecting vape, smoke, THC and sound abnormalities like shouting in areas a camera cannot be placed. Additional sensors give us the ability to monitor air quality for temperature, humidity, hazardous chemicals and more!

As kids head back to school, we ask ourselves ‘how we can keep them safe?” We now offer a line of high performance face recognition readers. These readers provide fast & accurate body-temperature measurement and have the ability to detect if a mask is being worn. Users can be denied door access if no mask is detected or if they have elevated body-temperature. Identifying users having high body-temperature or not wearing a mask helps safeguard students, employees and visitors especially in public areas.

Mobile Access (2).jpg

Our Brivo Mobile Pass can identify users with COVID symptoms before they enter your facility. Enable self screening for their users by account or by specific sites. This allows you to screen all faculty and staff to ensure the safety of them, as well as the students. This tool works with access control systems that are already in place, allowing your employees to enter the facility after answering health screening questions, and scanning their mobile device or access control card.

Ubiquiti Access Points (2).jpg

If your school is working to provide education to your students virtually while they are learning from home, you may be encountering some glitchiness and lagging. One reason for this is that the wireless signal you have is not strong enough. We have a solution for that too! Wireless Access Points boost the strength of your wireless signal throughout your facility. this investment will continue to be beneficial when the students are back on campus too.

Hands-Free Openers.jpg

High-touch surfaces like door handles are hot-topic right now. We can help eliminate the spread of germs on these surfaces with touchless door openers on interior and exterior doors, as well as door pull options for interior doors that are hands-free.

Lastly, if your are scanning temperatures as students, faculty, and staff enter the building, we have a tool to make that easier. The thermal temperature scanner works with your access control system to make sure that as people enter your facility, they are healthy and safe for your protection.

If we can help with any of these solutions to get your facility ready to welcome back your students, contact us for a consultation.
